Remember there is a zero file, so the rook moves on the -1 file:
39.Bx(16,4)...R(-1,12)

Congratulations to gyrados06! A well-played game with interesting dynamics. I assume the fork missed by Ry is 40.Q(6,15)

thats fine.
Just for fun though would you want to continue this game with you taking back your move? It would be fun to see who would win.
After 39.Bx(16,4)... I think the material losses are about equal, although as mentioned before it's a very different set of pieces. Something like C vs. NGPP. That's pretty close, although two of White's losses are Hawk's pawns, which I think are worth less than other pawns. So White has a slight lead I think. This is on top of Black needing to parry two possible forks. For Black to win he has to be especially crafty, and stop making blunders.
Here's the board again after White's move 39. Are both continuing to play unrated?
37.B(9,-3)+...K(5,8)
38.Q(9,12)+...K(6,8)
39.Bx(16,4)

Ok cool. So it's Ry's move. Purpose is to see who wins if Ry plays a better move from the board above.![]()
I can play but how about a new game? Also, I have a lot of projects and travel planned in April, so can we play with extra vacation time allowed? There might be a few times where I can't play a move for 4 or 5 days.
Ok, Yay! I'm ready for a new game. Normally players can take vacation time (4 extra days) once per 40 moves. I'm going to be busy in April so can we play with allowing vacation time once every 10 moves? I hope that's ok with you.
I started a thread for our game (here).
Uncommon material difference
Yes, I noticed that too. Very interesting.😯
