Evert or togepi, another clarification on the Joker please, when it inherits the movement of a witch:
I would understand that since, the joker inherits the movement of the last piece moved but not its functions, a joker imitating a witch can move like a queen, knight, or make orthogonal and diagonal jumps, is this correct? I am reading all of these, including the jumps to be part of the movement functions of the witch and not its special functions; however none of the transparency \ being unable to capture a piece would come into play, is my interpretation correct? So, a joker imitating a witch sounds pretty dang powerful
The joker inherits moves and captures. It does not get special functions, like the transparency abilities of the witch. However, being unable to capture does not count as a special function, so the joker will be unable to capture when imitating a witch.
It's not always clear what counts as a special ability when it is also part of movement, so it is sort of a case by case thing to decide. Like, no castling, but en passant and moving 2 squares forward from the second rank as a pawn is ok.

Correct. Also my observation is that whenever the Joker appears with a new weird piece, it can lead to questions what a Joker takes over and what not. The idea is always capture and movement. It was quite difficult when we combined the Joker with the Crippled Amazons.
Yep
