Chess in which players construct the initial position by themselves.
2 versions:
1. use the standard chess set (king, queen, 2 knights, 2 bishops, 2 rooks, 8 pawns)
2. use any combination but total value should be 39 (e.g. 4 queens and 3 pawns).
Set up anywhere on your half of the board, no limits for pawns or bishops, castling and en passant available.
Removes opening theory and adds new element of strategy.
Different from setup chess - you first complete setup and then find opponent. much faster.
