When I first got into variants ,there was only KOTH,Courier,Nocastle,3 check,4pc,atoms,horde and of course crazy&bug house.I would be lucky if I played XXL.but now I simply refuse to use time to play the game I implored to play.But as more and more variants come in,such as detour,golden ratio etc,an interesting thing happened. I haven’t played any single “good “chess variant.often because it is very unbalanced.like many games that contain a labyrinth.Any ideas for variants no one would play?
