So wait a minute, based on the rules listed, would 1.k3 f10 2.Qi4 l10 3.Qi8 be checkmate?

@2Ke21-0's turn as black.

The position here would be checkmate. Black can defend one of his kings, but white would still be attacking the other king. Since you can't play two moves in one turn, this position is still checkmate.

They should flip-flop the board on the right.  King starts on his own color and Queen starts on the opposite.

This way, 3-moves like that can't happen, and you don't have extreme dominance on the light squares for White and dark squares for Black.

Nice suggestion! I have flip-flopped the kings. We will now start in the current position on move two. Is it possible @2Ke21-0 left this game after the 3 move checkmate is possible.

In this position, both kings of the same color are on opposite squares. One is on a light-square and the other is from a dark-square. This would prevent the 3-move checkmate, and you don't have dominance on the light or dark squares. Again, it is @2Ke21-0's turn as black, and if he doesn't make a move soon, I will call out a timeout warning.
