White has a different freestyle starting position than Black.    Same 64 squares, same chess pieces, same rules as Freestyle chess.   So I think there would be 960 times 960 possible starting positions.   That is my ultimate chess variant.

Here's an example:

White has starting position # 1 and Black has starting position # 960. This will be the starting position of the whole game. Then the next game will be random again different for white and black. Same chessboard, same chess pieces, same rules as Freestyle or Chess960. I'm not a math guy but I think the number of possible starting positions would be 960 X 960 = 921,600.

I think this would be the Ultimate Strategy Game.
