I'll check it out
drawback chess
I've played this a few times. It's actually pretty fun for the most part. The only problem I have with it is that some drawbacks just aren't fun at all because they make it flat out impossible to win. I understand that there's a reason for this — it's supposed to make the game more "fair" if you're playing against someone who is a lot worse than you — but practically guaranteeing a swift loss unless your opponent is literally trying to lose seems a bit excessive.
It's basically chess except every game you and your opponent have a restriction.Your opponent doesn't know about your restriction and vice versa.Kings can be captured en passant meaning that if a king castles out of check(by the way kings can move into check and castle out of, through, and into check and the goal is to capture the king)a piece moving to the square that the king castled out of would be a capture of the king.If a king castles through check then a piece moving tothat square would capture the king. It's free!
