Expanded Stargate Challenge

After play-testing Stargate some more, a few rule modifications were made to help balance the playing field. The Pulsar must now "get charged" before firing at long range. The Cobra is now explained to jump over everything 2 or 3 squares in every direction,  including Gravity Distortion Fields. The Anubis has the option to "drop" an impediment onto the board that can block sliders. And Pulsars may blast away these obstructions.

I challenge Nuclear Lightning to a game with these new rules.

That's the beam shooting Pulsar guy, right? But the new rules state it can only shoot as far away as the count of your other pieces in play, minus trapped or frozen pieces. So only 2 square firing range for you, correct?

ArchbishopCheckmate

Bf7. I like the new rules better already. My move couldn't be played without being frozen under the old rules.

What's weird?

ArchbishopCheckmate

oh great. Just when I found the perfect move to save the bishop, set up the Pegasus to check on g4, and prevent Pulsar-h3 since it couldn't reach me, I forgot the Archbishop-f3 move gave it a 3rd square in its striking range. No more moves for me tonight.
