Ok so i think it should work like you capture a piece it becomes stone but when I played it was literally normal game of chess is this a bug or just some another way the variant works!
Hmm, I found a variant called "Petrified". Is that the one you meant?

Can you see the second one named Stonewall "petrified" is a mixed variant of those so when I selected only stonewall and the first comment happened
