I think chess.com should make this an official variant. Even if it wouldn't work as well as normal chess I still think it would be fun to try.

One idea is to play the game with 16 pawns, 8 in the normal 2nd rank and 8 behind the pieces in the -1 rank. This would make the king less vulnerable. But it also might get a little crazy.....
Also, notation would still be possible, you would just have to use numbers for both columns and files, and then negative numbers as well. So a1 would become 1,1 and h8 would be 8,8 and so on.
There are infinite possibilities! Ha ha.
you can just cut the king anyway
or add more pieces to make it easier
