Leapfrog Chess

I'm not sure if the name is taken, but this is a Chess Variant I've created called Leapfrog Chess. The board is set up to start as shown, with no bishops or queens, and each player gets two kings. The rules are the same as regular chess, but with a few changes.

  • any piece (except the king and knight, which move as usual) has leapfrog powers. This means that if they are moving and another piece of their color is in the way, they can jump over it and land one in front of said piece.
  • there is no check or checkmate - to win, you have to capture both of your opponent's kings

'Any piece'? That is just Rooks, right? Or can you get Queens and Bishops through promotion? Does it also apply to the Pawn initial double push?

'In front of' means 'on the other side' here?

rooks and pawns can leapfrog

you can promote to queens (which can also leapfrog)

in front means the other side yes, thanks for the correction
