Can the opponent move his/her queen to checkmate when their king is in check?

I think it is possible. I will try to conceive of such a position & move.

But the piece that was checking the king first can maybe capture the queen and stop checkmate.

A took most certainly can. I don’t think a queen is possible but I will try

If the queen could capture, it would be easy. When you say move, I’m not sure honestly
