@#770 Isn't it a really bad idea to check the other guy's king up in the endgame? Surely Rc3+ is met with Ke4.
Ry, remember we're just doing this to flesh it out a little to see if we are good for the move we plan for Martin, of a4.
Bc4+
Kxc4
And Ry, this is now a standard King with more pawns vs. King with less pawns.
Martin will win, imho.
Now, maybe (most likely) we didn't play our strongest moves, but do you still think we'll Draw with Martin if we play a4? (Btw, go a few more moves on this with me. I want to see the crux.)
Ok, got it. (pardon me; no idiots on this site (note to self) … only insufficiently thoughtful persons? )
1. … Rc4
2. Bxh7
Present Position (Black to Move)
Ok, keep going.
Your charitable statement, first-half-double-negative , humbles me.
Do you still think a4 should be our move to post?
P.S. I will be stepping out of this game in the next couple weeks… have a fly fishing trip coming up in Southern Colorado… hoping to catch some brookies, rainbows, or browns among the willows, conifers, and cottonwoods. (I'm retired, do this Chess dot com stuff just for fun, and life is good. Really good.) Try not to lose the game while I'm gone.

Here are some givens:
Our best solution to this game is, one: get things so that neither side can improve their position, or two: seize upon a blunder by the other side.
I vote for Kc7. It's a waiting move. Martin will either bring his King to e3 or bring his Bishop to d3.
I think Martin will follow our lead and play Ke3.
I hope so.
One thing I will add is that it is much easier to analyze a position and relax, than to try to post a line accurately. You can't review your diagrams until you post the thread. And these damn DBs make it difficult to see the what ifs when posting. You have to make a new diagram every time one of them moves, or else post just the moves. Very cumbersome.
