My new chess variant on chess.com called sideways pawns

There are other games with exactly the same concept of cards that allow for placement or movement of pieces. I think a few times I saw something like that with chess as well but I cannot remember. I do remember seeing a game of traditional 52 deck of cards where beside the suit and rank it had something like a chess pieces and movement instructions. Cannot remember what.

Drawgood, I do not recall any card chess game that you think 'might' exist. This is the sole reason I suggested it to chess.com. Your implication that I might have seen this idea from a similar game is interesting. Let me assure you no, I have never seen a game like my suggestion before called CardChess. The reason I submit these ideas to chess.com is they have the resources to make the idea a reality.

OH btw Drawgood when you make a suggestion to chess.com you can also make a screen grab of the sent information so there is your proof, plus sometimes you will get an email from an admin from chess.com commenting on your idea.

Ok, I believe you. I did not imply you had seen the card chess anywhere and used the idea. I mean that it is an idea used in other games too.
Hi my name is Jon, I suggested this variant a while ago, but I guess for programming reasons, it was modified by chess.com. Here was my original suggestion for a new variant.
hello, I would like to see my chess variant on chess.com, my variant does not add additional pieces or make the board bigger it simply allows the pawns to move backwards one square or sideways one square still capturing the same way, after reaching halfway cross the board to the 5th rank, this makes sense as the pawn increases in power eventually reaching the 8th rank to become a queen. So after the 4th rank into enemy territory which would be the 5th rank the pawn gets new ability to backup one square or move sideways, if the pawn backs up back to its own territory the 4th rank it demotes back to its former self unable to move sideways or backwards one square it must be on or over the 5th rank to achieve more power like if it were to reach the 8th rank for promotion. We can see this is logical as the further the pawn advances up the board the more it gains power. Thank you, John Sor.
Since submitting this above idea for a new variant I have also submitted another recent new variant called CardChess, please search for it here and tell chess.com if you think it is worthy of becoming a playable variant on chess.com
Hi, I have a new chess variant called cardchess. I also created backwards pawns under a previous handle. I would hope if you use my suggestion for cardchess I can be rewarded with either a paid membership or a discount. Cardchess involves both players getting a five card deal with chess pieces on the cards instead of the traditional card symbols. You are dealt five cards out of a 3-card shuffled deck. The game's object is to combine your cards while playing chess using the luck of the draw of cards. For example, you drew a pawn, a pawn, a queen, and two rooks. Now it's your turn to move one of your pieces based on the one card you discard. So I drew two rooks. I'm in the late middle game; I can hold one card, still a rook, and move the other rook with a discard. You are only allowed one discard per move is side to move. This is the piece you move on the board, so I discarded my rook, which I have to move on the board. After you discard, you then get a new card in your deck. So the cards would be pawn, knight, bishop, rook, and Queen. The King is not included in the cards because you are always allowed to move your king, If you want without a king card since there is no king card. This way, if you are in check, you can still move. However, when it's your turn, you still have to discard one card to move your king. If, say, you are in an endgame, and you have no cards matching a move on the board, the game is over. You cannot play on because you lost. Of course, the game is also over if your king is checkmated.
