We had an incident similar to that back in the OG NEISG. That... was interesting.

You won't be removed. With a health bar that high if your king is captured you'll suffer a 4-5 point energy loss and respawn your king.

Chess_Condor

War to keep peace is very paradoxical, but also interesting.

didn't we completely wipeout the guy we attacked? and wasn't I like playing a major role in it?

If you don't help me then crisis everted I am removed from the game and no war happens.

Then you get crushed, and James gets stronger. This results in an imbalance in power. Remember, I’m #2.

He might use his vast power and allies to start some more war. I don’t want that. This, I help you.

I know, I know. But you might very well start it.

Isn't that what they said before starting world war one?
"I don't want to start a war I just want to kill this one guy what could go wrong"

Well, I think Serbia was kinda pissed at A-H, and did want a war. Kinda like right now.

No Serbia didn't want war. Serbia were the ones who wronged the Austro Hungarians (a rogue nationalist shot a prince) and so the Austro Hungarians made unreasonable demands until they had war.

I object to being compared to the Austro Hungarians because it's innacurate and I'm not that weak.

Yeah, something like that.

Chess_Condor

Ok, I understand now.

Also, there has been a board expansion! The board will be updated to show this. Be the first to explore this new area! Which looks exactly the same as the last one! But still!

Reports indicate that the Serbian national government itself helped the nationalist movement along, and even played a direct hand in the murder. Also, when Austria-Hungary made its demands for peace, which were actually quite reasonable, it was Serbia’s national government that rejected it.

Ok, you don’t want to be compared to Austria. Who do you want to be, then?

JamesAgadir

Most of the players are playing diplomacy. I'm playing risk, being prepared knowing that fighting when victory isn't certain is a must. Tomato is playing draughts if he can capture he must. Then HTP is playing settlers of Catan war isn't even an option.

hitthepin

War is an option for me. I’d just prefer if there wasn’t war, just like everyone else playing diplomacy.

Dunno, just think the WW1 reference doesn't really work. It's based around a small country "attacking" (it wasn't even their government's plan or a real attack) a stronger but not strongest one then everyone else joining in. But I "attacked" (it's barely an attack, I just took a free piece like Tomato did with me it's chess for goodness sake) so I guess that makes me Serbia? The biggest player is compared to the smallest country? It's just weird.

HorribleTomato

my goal here is to make this experience as interesting as possible. and i will accomplish that task whether through in game movements or updating the game to add flavor to it.

Diplomacy is a game of war, all know that war must happen and want to be the ones initiating it.

I guess it matters to Condor since it's literally his only piece not including his king.

You’re right, it’s not a good analogy. I guess you’re just the Agadrians then.

Precisely, and when war inevitably knocks, I’ll be ready.

it's nice we agree on something. say, James, what are your thoughts on the events update I'm brewing up? it'd be great to hear your opinion on it's impact on the game.
