Thanks for the archeological information. I was sure I wasn't the first one to imagine this variante ! In 1997 society was not so open-minded as today. So "gay chess" seems to be a perfect buzz-maker name to promote this variant in 2023 😁

I came because I am really gay and did a search for gay chess. I also came up with lesbian chess where each side had two queens and there are no kings.
