just wanna know, how will you pair us for our first round? According to the BCR forum?
If there are 10 entries, they will be seeded according to rating. Seed 1 plays 6, seed 2 plays 7, etc.

Yes, at least that’s how they are paired in USCF tournaments for round 1.

By the way, tiebreaks will be decided by head to head matchups first. If no head to head matchup exists, then it will decided by Cumulation Sum.
"The participant that had the best results early in the stage wins the tie.
Points earned in matches are counted again with each subsequent round, making an early point weigh more than a late point."

This is a tournament open to all players, regardless of experience. This will be a swiss tournament. It will be 5 rounds. How swiss tournaments work can be read about here.

This will be traditional Bulldog Chess with Witch and Guard. Rules for how to play this variant can be found here. More details on the Witch can be found here.
Games will be rated and follow the correspondence rules posted here.
YOU MAY REQUEST A BYE FOR A ROUND IF YOU ANTICIPATE TRAVEL. NON-REVERSIBLE. MUST BE REQUESTED AT LEAST 1 FULL ROUND BEFOREHAND. BYES GRANT ONE-HALF POINT. LIMIT ONE.
Board Setup:
Time Control
In the interest of time it will be 2 Days/per move. 14 day vacation, once every 40 moves. Three 24-hour time warnings, refreshes every 40 moves.
After pairings have been posted a player will have 14 days to show up. Failing to show up within those 14 days may result in the game being lost by forfeit (however, the player should also receive a warning at least three days prior to the player losing by forfeit).
