Pretty natural extension to 8x8 chess. Easy to get used to.

In 8x8 chess, you get the center "for free." On the wider board, it must be earned through coordinated piece movements. You need at least Nc3 before storming the center with pawn pushes. "Simple chess" has spoiled some players. We're too used to moving automatically. You have to really think in this game.
