In the above example white played the most active move Ne5.

 

Black gave up the bishop pair which is probably not the best move.

 

Note that the white king could be deployed after the rook to a1 or g1, white could even play Ka1 and then transfer the king to g1.

In the next example the position is kept symmetrical with black mirroring the white moves.

 

Keeping the position symmetrical is fine but white will retain the opening move advantage and at some point black will be forced to break symmetry to keep the game in balance.

 

Black can mirror white during the early opening but should break symmetry at some point before it is forced by white.
