This is a Waterloo Chess game between @vickalan and @icositetrachoron

Rules can be found here.

An example game can be found here.

Here is the initial setup:

There are currently 2 spies, jokers, and wisemen in each player's reserve.

@vickalan plays White. Good Luck!

Thanks for starting this game!

These graphics look excellent. Just so we understand the spy (like on c2 and c8) moves like a king. (This is called a guard in many other games).

The "Elite-guard" (like on a2, b2 and a9 b9) can jump 1 or 2 squares in any direction (vertical, horizontal, and diagonal), in a straight line only.

It's been awhile since I played, so I just want to make sure we understand the graphics and the pieces.

If I ever designed a variant I would never put four knights in a line. But this game has four knights in a line (d2, e2, f2 g2, etc) and I really like it!

@vickalan chess.com is giving me an SSL error *most* of the day so my move might be delayed.

Well if you can get online and post your move I can do the boards for awhile. Here's the board with my last move.

I'm sorry, but I must ask: What is happening with this game?

Where is Black? (@Icositetrachoron)

I suppose the game was never finished. I'm not sure what happened to icositetrachoron. If a player disappears from a non-rated game, I'll usually remind them once, and after that I just forget about the game.meh.png

Haha I wouldn't "forget" about it. I'd count it as a forced-resignation. (Or, victory by insufficient time; if you want to spin it that way.) lol

By the way, I'll get to my move in our match soon. I have a few things going on these two or three days, but I've already made up my mind as to what to do next. happy.png
