Recently I've played with a few different people who resign immediately before even making a move.

Is there a reason why I should have to lose rating points if my teammate decides to resign?

If they resign before the first move, it should be an abandoned game for them(only your teammate would lose points) Tough, I believe that resignation in 4pc teams should be more like a voting system
