For quite unknown reasons, the software written by Jeremy Craner called Qianhong  has been harder and harder to download. While it is far from being mediocre, not to say excellent, the game browsing capability is still of some use to xiangqi novices, given most software developers’ total neglect of this area.

First of all, some comments on the main drawback of Xiexiemaster 2.5 as a game browser. With reviewing a game with XXM 2.5 , you can’t jump directly to a move. Instead, you have to type in a move number. Qianhong ( QH ) is more intuitive in that you can click to any move and continue with the reviw of the game. This alone merits the inclusion of QH in your computer.

While XXM 2.5 is linked with the UBB format of  dpxq-generated game scores, QH is linked with the wxf scores ( e.g.  1. C2=5 , h8+7 etc. ) Besides the wxf.ca website ( http://wxf.ca/xq/xqdb/xqdb_index.html already intorduced to you in  https://www.chess.com/download/view/revised-edition-of-ubb-to-wxf), another source in English is www.01xq.com . I have written two excel programs to accommodate the transfer of game scores in the wxf format from these two websites to QH. So, first of all download QH from the Downloads > Database programs. I will only release the toolkit if there are quite a considerable number of people who are interested in using it

The promised toolkits have been uploaded to Downloads > Database Programs:  WXF to QianHong Toolkit and  QH Toolkit 1.0, each with different targets.
