Usually when I start a game I'm more than happy to post boards, but I'll stop if one player starts doing it instead. Let me know if you'd like me to post the diagrams. This is a quarter-final game - players (and spectators) should be able to see what's going on.

How many days of vacation time is there?

Then he still has 4 days till time warning.

Strictly speaking time control is 3 days, plus one extra day after a warning. A few people have asked that this is increased but no one has made it official yet. See discussion (here).

Waredude asked for a week of vacation, and Ry allowed him that. Ry has now posted a warning, so Ry can call the game in about 8 more hours (9:30 am on 9/16 my time).

I sent a DM to Waredude also. This game is in a tournament (winner plays JohnHS). If Ry does not call the game, then I might do it late Sunday (1 day from now).

That's a bummer. Hope Waredude gets back from vacation in time.

Yes, I'm the tournament director, so I can call the game too. I really hate to do this, but a 7-day vacation is more than guaranteed by the rules, and more than one day has passed since Ry issued a warning.

So Waredude has forfeited the game, and rychessmaster wins.

Medals and update to tournament bracket will be presented soon. Ry wins on time.

And now I'm playing ry again.  Sheesh

Hopefully that one goes as well or better than my current game with him.

Normally I let players call the game on time but this game was in a tournament with another game waiting on it. Anyone please leave comment at (this thread) if they support time control being more than 3 days.
