Nope.
The main point of chess960 apart from cheap opening tricks is to find a place for your pieces, which is much, much harder than in standard chess. The emphasis is certainly not on the tactics (which are the same as in standard chess, more or less).
This being said, I would love a chess960 blitz possibility, for sure.
So thats 2 votes for BLITZ 960!!! Also I was thinking about how much faster one can learn about 960 games if we play in a faster time. Is there anyone out there who thinks 960 BLITZ should stay in the closet?

I completely agree with you Rybka Shredder. I believe that is a great idea and I believe there would be no way for ppl to cheat either. Cool name ! ok I am tallied at 5-0-0 in favor of bringing 960 chess to our live games and BLITZ!
You have a good point IronTiger. I use my tactical knowledge to help me win games. It's difficult to come up with an overall stragedy because every game is like new. That's what I meant. Thank You for your input. I greatly appreciate it. you have givin me something to think about.

some weeks ago i wanted to play live chess960 but i couldnt find this option then i asked a moderator to show me how i can play it but to my great surprise he said there is no such option.i think it is exciting to play live chess960 in bullet,blitz or long game formats and but he said since it isnot popular we dont have this option.

Just think of how much better our idea of chess960 would be if we can get a megasite like this too bring FischerRandom into the limelight! Just for food for thought F.I.D.E holds a 960 World Chess Championship every year. I believe Aronian is the current 960 champ.

By the way, I think I did see a website where they were playing blitz 960. Im pretty sure, I hope I'm not mistaken. I can't remember the name, but I think I ended up there from some link connected to a chess variant discussion. Try searching that way.
MrDamonSmith, I thought you played a game with sollevy10, I must have been mistaken. Yes the I.C.C.F has rapid 960 games and tournaments. I believe we can have it here as well if we show the Moderators there is an interest in it. Tesla1, cool name I always enjoyed reading about Nikola Tesla from Croatia. He was a great inventor! i have not played chess960 for a long time so i cant say which one is a better way.i think one of moderators should be invited to this topic and explain.members should vote at first page of chess.com to see if they really want livechess960 or not.

So my question is simply this, would you, my fellow chess players like to see Blitz 960 chess? I think it is a shame we cannot have that option at this site. I would love to hear everyones input. Good or Bad. Please tell me why we should or should not have this added feature.
