Avatar of JohnHS

This thread is for a game of chess between CM thegreatauk and Waredude.

Cougar: The Cougar can always move as a bishop. When it is on a black square, it can also move as a knight, and when it is on a white square, it can also move as a rook.

When a Cougar is on Black:

null

When a Cougar is on White:

null

Jaguar: The Jaguar can always move as a rook. When it is on a black square, it can also move as a bishop, and when it is on a white square, it can also move as a knight.

Here we will use a Leopard for Cougar, and an upside down Leopard for Jaguar. Here are diagrams explaining all this.

When a Jaguar is on Black:

When a Jaguar is on White:

Board Setup:

Pawns may promote to any piece, including Cougar and Jaguar.

All other rules are the same as normal chess.

CM thegreatauk will play white. Good luck to both happy.png!

Also, where is the page that we make these diagrams from?  I don't know how to manage this quite.  If you guys want to play this like regular bulldog with a bulldog board, but with cougar and jaguar instead of Witch and Guard, we can do that (in which case it will be rated like other bulldog).

I'll update after each Black move.

Avatar of thegreatauk

OK, is it 3 days a move?

Avatar of JohnHS

yes.  After three days, the other player may issue a warning.  After this warning, you have 24 hours to move.

Avatar of Fly-Eagles-Fly

Isn't it three total days per move, but after two days you get a warning?

Avatar of JohnHS

No.  I thought it was, but was incorrect.  Much to my chagrin.  HorusTheThird enjoyed proving me wrong though.  wink.png  jk

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been online too much today, I live on a homestead and there were some chores that needed some tending to. e5

It depends. Both two days before the warning and three days before the warning are both accepted time controls. But it seems three days+warning is standard.
