Bulldog Chess with Hunter (HorribleTomato - vickalan)

I somehow got the impression that the Hunter would capture by moving as a King and simultaneously killing pieces located on those squares. That kind of pieces do exist, like the Tenjiku Shogi Fire Demon. The description should have been "captures like a Knight or two squares orthogonally" and then it would have been clear.

Sorry for slow play. I'm still travelling and have about 8 hours of driving now. I'll be back home and be able to play normally one-day from now. Very sorry - I'm in a big rush now to finish my drive.

I think you're right. Tomato and I are playing based on the assumption that the hunter captures by jumping to one of twelve squares in the diagram.
Adding "captures like a knight or two squares orthogonally" would probably be a better description, because it makes it absolutelly clear, even without a diagram. I might change the opening rules this way. Tomato and I are already playing that way, but it would be better, just in case the hunter is used in other games.
And btw - it's a great piece. This has been a fun game, except that Tomato keeps complaining because I'm too slow.

I'll be moderating your game in the Big-dog tournament soon (starts Tuesday). I might be able to moderate aidanB1 vs Scooter also (starting a few days later).
