One fun little thing with the witch. If you would want to play c4 you would need to specify which pawn you want to move there. 2c4 or 3c4. I'm not suggesting either move is good here, but the notation looks kind of funny
Bulldog Chess with lumberjack & witch - JunyJunebug vs Martin0

At least you are the Bulldog chess world champion. When it comes to the lumberjack it is very interesting how you need to protect pieces by covering squares the piece is not standing on. It is also interesting how effective it can be to just block the path of the lumberjack with a piece since the lumberjack has no normal capture.
When I played 7...Lc5 I am threatening both Ld4 and Le3. I was expecting you to just block it off with 8.We3 to prevent Le3 and make Ld4 no longer win the d-pawn. Then I would probably prevent you from playing Lf5 with 8...Nd6 and we would have a game. As a side note I think the lumberjack and witch are a scary combination to get the lumberjack behind enemy lines. As was shown in this game a lumberjack behind enemy lines can cause a lot of pain. Also in the line described above, if I play 8...d4 instead of Nd6 the position can get a bit messy after 9.Lf5. I'm not exactly sure who would get an advantage there.

Great new piece innovation for the lumberjack, and a great game! Results added to the news bulletin.
