checkers chess

I want to share a fun game that we have been playing that we named "checkers chess".  It is played like checkers except when the checker becomes king.  At that point, a chess piece is put on top of it, and it can move like that chess piece.

Not any chess piece can be selected.  We first agreed to the order of the pieces.  So the first king-ed checker gets the first chess piece, the 2nd king-ed gets the second piece.  E.g. if the order is King, knight, knight, rook.  Then the first person's king-ed checker gets king (of the his/her color).  Next king-ed checker gets knight.  So, sometimes, it isn't a great idea to king first.
