It might have been a good move, I couldn't tell last night. After NxH, both Q(5,10)+ and Q(5,11)+ don't seem to cut it and I can get away, but if instead C(5,10)+, I was going on one hell of a king walk. Can my king ultimately get away? I don't know, I have to go all the way to (6,15) before the bishop can intervene. Risky at the very least.
I think if it wasn't for my bishop this position would be lost for me. Certainly I wouldn't like this move, and I don't want to move my king in the other direction.

I've also done the same mistake a few times and also noticing directly after I post. Luckily no one has noticed when I make mistakes, so maybe I should pretend I never make them

I prefer to move to (5,6) but I'm not completely sure if my hawk is needed for defence still (other than defending the obvious threat), better to play it safe. I don't mind giving up tempi when I'm so far ahead in material.
