It should require very little additional code, and would likely already be done if they had been actively working on it for any meaningful period of time.
I think its far more likely that they have a priority list, and this is low enough down on that list that they are not actually actively working on it at this time.
Its not that hard to get 960 games at FICS, if you are patient.
