I agree we need a better name than corporal pawn chess. Something related to the wizards or the falcons. What is the picture on each corporal pawn? Is it a little hawk? Does it symbolize anything?

Zied, I think these pieces are too powerful for a 10x8 board.
We either need to play with weaker pieces, or put them on a bigger board. Or start the Musketeer way so that each side can develop pawns better before the strong pieces come out. Do you want to try Chess on an Infinite Plane? We can add some Musketeer-type pieces to it. I think that would made a really great and strategic game.
Zied's posts (musketeerchess) have been removed from this thread - I think he may have been blocked from this forum. But he might be able to come back soon. He and I played three games like this but due to the powerful pieces the games ended very quickly. But I like the idea of a round-robin tournament. Is there any other game you would like to play? I'm interested in another game of Chess on an Infinite Plane.
Or if Zied comes back, we can adjust the pieces (a little less powerful) and have a three-person tournament.

I fear that all postings of Zied were deleted. That is a massive censorship and for me incomprehensible why that was made. Who is responsible for this? And what are the criteria for deleting postings or blocking an account?
I don't understand the ban on musketeerchess either. He brought a lot of good ideas to this forum. (So many we had to sift through them to choose the best ones). My favorite was the Griffon - a chess piece that can "attack elephants and fly away with them". This creature is not his original idea - it may have been mentioned in Egypt 3000 years ago. But musketeerchess brought the idea into variant chess games - and put it on a chessboard!
I hope musketeerchess is back soon!

That musketeerchess person is indeed a very unpleasant spammer. In a longer past, he made a habit of intervening in anyone's topic, being very creative in linking whatever subject it was to HIS pieces. And very frequently and systematic. I couldn't for example discuss representing kanji by westernized pieces, without him coming in and mentioning his pieces. Which was in that context totally ridiculous, but he had the attention that he wanted. Lots of his posts have been removed and they were absolutely right to do so.
Unfortunately, he always comes back showing the same old habits. Sad...

Wizard (W) = Hawk + Knight
Falcon (F) = Hawk + Bishop
Corporals (pawn type piece) - See (here) for description of piece.
The rules of castling are similar as in classical chess, however, with the board 10 squares wide, the king travels three squares rather than two. The rook finishes adjacent to the king (white: d1 or h1; black c8 or g8). As usual when castling, all squares between the king and the involved rook must be unoccupied, and this includes the square where the guard or griffon is initially positioned.
