each and everyone has the right to claim his point of view. The only important thing is to remain polite. I appreciate evert because he is a true chess variant lover and a gentleman.

Please chess Musketeer Chess website as there are videos showing a few game samples, many playable online chess variants, a forum. If you find our work useful or appreciate our work, we greatly appreciate any gesture (buying our pieces, donating , advertising on our website, asking our team of programmers to create your chess variant etc.)

Still pushing things down the page I see.

What I see is vickalan, (or, in your point of view, musketterchess) checking on the games he's organizing. All of these post you see are vickalan posting boards so we don't have to ourselves, except with "Bulldog chess with zombie!?!", and he has every right to post there.

Jealous? Failed? Ask for your help?

I have been using this forum for years, but no longer.

There was a time recently when this forum was so messed up that nobody knew what was going on.

Just to clarify a few things and to avoid further confusion which is what this forum is all about, so we know who we are dealing with.

Likes to post on Wikipedia now, inserting paragraphs and diagrams created using the muppets tool, then inserts links at the bottom to this forum.

Plus 2 other minor muppets that are not worth mentioning, one was banned for threats of violence towards me but quickly changed his name and came back, the other surfaced briefly but quickly crawled back into his hole and has not been seen again, probably because the mods deleted his advertising.

Game

If you make a good game it will probably take centuries before it is very popular, that is just the way of it, think about that, the game will only become popular after you are long gone.

Don't believe me? Fischer Random? Capablanca Chess?

No problem for me, I have my reasons for making my game, for the future, not the present.

Legal

If a game is half decent and is published on this forum then chess.com has every legal right to take it and do what they want with it, read the legal terms and think about that.

Why would I even consider publishing the final polished rules of my game on this forum.

Program

I have made 2 programs and am currently making the last version.

The first 2 programs were focused on a user interface, this last version is the actual game engine.

First program was written in Visual C#, second program was written in JavaScript.

The game engine is being written in plain old C, the Latin of all programming languages.

A wise man once said that the guys that really know what they are doing try lots of different languages but in the end they all go back to C when it is time to do serious work.

I have the source code for 5 different chess engines on my machine right now, 3 of them written in C and 2 of them written in C++.

Most of them are very old and you will probably not know them, one of them is Stockfish written in C++.

Databases

I make financial stuff for global banks, I also have the source code for a chess database written in C++, something that interests me.

It amazes me that chess databases are so primitive and that an entire industry relies on a flimsy interface, I mean PGN files, will be needing good old C for all that crap

Conclusion

I said that I play with grandmasters, I must have been lying.

I said that I made a game, I must have been lying.

I said that I made programs, I must have been lying.

I am making a serious program now, I guess that I am still lying.

I will be doing serious work with chess databases, I guess that I am still lying.

This is no longer a forum that can be used by people with different interests, it is just a spam forum for silly games.

I think you mean that it is a spam forum for playing variants.

Some guys do it properly, I have no problem with that, they play their games.

I only organised THREE test games on this forum, that was all that I needed, nothing more.

One guy has been spamming posts every single day for games since the start of Dec 2016.

Another guy was spamming for promotional reasons for a year but at least he finally stopped.

So now the arguments will start, or so they wish, I was just setting the record straight and I will now ignore them.

Any publicity is good publicity, even if it is bad publicity, right?

Try to get @game_designer banned so that all his posts are deleted, so nobody knows what was really going on, right?

And here is the real point, even if you don't like me.

At least normal people can use this forum now if they want to, this was not possible for a long time.

This forum is for everybody.
