Just to make sure I understand the rules... is there a certain move, late in the following game, where both players make a horrific blunder (1st Black, then White immediately afterward)?
No one voted for the Bongcloud variant?? It's clearly the most popular. Besides that, I like the "Queened Knight" That game is crazy...

I only just learned the variant like... a week ago. Maybe you didn't realize that "horrific blunder" was just a fancy way of saying "hanging piece"

I have made a new variation of chess called Ant chess. The rules are all the same except the fact that you can move your pawns backward.
Sounds fun, right?

Probably it's way more drawish than regular chess because you have always the possibility to fix your weaknesses ...
Xiangqi.
Considering this is earlier, one would have to assume chess is a variation of xiangqi.
+1 for Talilaserbillishark chess, or whatever we're calling it nowadays.
Well for casual use it is ok, but among serious players it is necessary to differentiate Mongotalibillilaserchesssharks with the Uzbek, Tajik, Kyrgyz and Azerbaijani variants.

What is Talilaserbillishark chess? Is it a real variant?
Teary's favorite variation is, oddly enough, one that not many people have heard of:

Such a shame that it's not more popular, it's a great variant, and gets my vote for my favourite
