How to win Chess 960

The simple answer is just: Have luck
Winning chess 960 is not about luck. There are some clues you must understand if you want to be winning consistently. Luck comes in when your opponent isn't as good as you are, time out or lose some essential pieces through flaws.

And you concluded that based on 2 960 games?
I am sure that a few of the 960 variants give white an overwhelming advantage but not many.

That would be a worthwhile project, for a modified 'Stockfish' or 'Komodo'..{chess-engine},to try to determine.. Eg. - Is there Any random '960' {starting}, setup, that leads to a forced win?!
Personally.. I'd be surprised, if that were the case{!} ..Especially, if 'black' were to play 'symetrically'.. up-to-a-given move!
Well some of the starting positions leave a pawn unprotected. The majority that i have come across do not though. You just need to play some games to start recognizing the patterns. Try looking at your back rank in groups of 3. See where the opponents bishops are aimed and look for the most likely point of development for the other long range pieces as well.
If you play as white look for these unprotected pawns. If you play as black do the same but move the unprotected pawn up one square so that other pawns next to it protect it. I have also found that moving the rook pawns two squares can be good if the rooks are not too far on the wings. It seems to throw the opponent off a bit. Most people i have played tended to try to develop the central pawns and knights similar to the open games in standard chess. I suppose this is because it is more familiar but it does not always do too much in some of the more unorthodox 960 positions.
These are just my experiences so far in live 960 blitz but i am by no means winning a high percentage of my games. Just doing a touch better than my standard blitz scores.
The point of 960 chess is that you can use your skill without using opening theory. Some coaches recommend it so you don't use opening theory as a crutch.
