I wus minding my own business getting the non IMed moves down in case you needed me, then the program KICKED me out!

I know of some reasons that the app would quit by itself. Like when it tries to divide by 0. I haven't fixed this yet because it's not very often it happens. Though next time it happens to me I'll try to fix it.

I did! Several times!

Saving is glitching out here. I tried to promote winston's pawn into a queen, and saved it, and reloaded the game... THEN IT WAS GONE.

Is this reoccurring? Does saving at all just NOT WORK anymore? Or was it a 1-time occurrence?

A few times, but it is working.

Oh that's the problem. I TRIED too, BUT it didn't work

I updated the walkthrough, I am now keeping this in the 1st post of this thread!

1. Make sure it's been at least 22 hours since the last update. Ask and acquire permission from me first, I will send you any pm'd moves.

2. Read after the previous game board update to find and write down everyone's move.

3. Open game file, optional to copy + paste it in a new slot so you don't lose the previous game file. Push letter P to delete all previous orange and black boxes.

4. Make everyone's move inside the game (making sure they are legal) and highlight them with new orange boxes.

5. Only after everyone's move is complete- Push period . only once to add some void squares and save. Do not cheat and redo the random void spawning to try to get a preferable spawning, take the 1st spawning literally. See if any pieces need to be frozen or not.

5. Pan to every piece & take a screenshot, currently there should be 13 total pictures. Using brackets [ and ] will help you find those extremely far out pieces.

6. Write the game board update on the sandbox forum! You can look at the previous game board update to copy how it's written. You'll need to update everyone's energy count, and copy over all the active events. Also include a link to the new game file! You don't need to worry about posting the leaderboard, I can do that with the new game file.

Tried to copy and paste in the game? Yeah that doesn't work yet (but it is planned).

Instead, hit the back bracket [ a few times until you reach James's pawn.

I don't need to do 2, since when I hit ctrl esc it exits but doesn't even close the tab.

Just use Alt>F4 that quits it.

EDIT: or hit F to go to windowed mode, then click the X on the top-right.

Do you know how to run it using a command prompt? I could locate the problem if I see the error it returns after quitting.

F actually stretches out the thing so it looks crazy weird.

Thanks a lot for this Nav.

Right, so I've dowloaded the files, the directories are where they should be, I've put the photos in the right folder, but I can't seem to start the programme.  My screen goes black for a few seconds, like it's doing something, but then I return with no programme running, so I assume it's crashing.

I'm Windows 7, is that a problem?

Ok so, I need to see the error causing this. Can you run it using a command prompt like this?:

type in "java -jar " without the quotations, and don't forget the space after "-jar ", then drag the program jar file into the command prompt window and hit enter. It will print out any messages this time it runs, after it's done crashing take a picture of the command prompt window and send that to me.

Umm... the terminal window?

This is the command prompt window.

Maybe it causes saving issues when there's more than 1 tab open.

Just a theory...

Turns out I have an outdated version of java. So I got the installer, then I tried to install but it JUST WON'T VERIFY. I left then, and haven't been able to get back since.
