I made a mistake on my last move. I meant to move the g-pawn (g8 not f8). My goal was to block your archer from moving to g8. Now I have a hung pawn and nothing blocked.

I'll come back later to see what I want to do.

The blunder I made is too severe, and it's not going to be fun trying to come back from it. If you want to play again from the start I'll be happy to. The fight between pawns and archer is fun (but not after a blunder).

I think that you shouldn't have tried to counter my archer with pawns, it's way more powerful than pawns. I think the archer should be worth about 7 or 8. I accept your rematch!!!

where do you guys play

My theory was that the archer can be blocked or slowed down by placing pieces to where it moves. The archer has strength in that it captures without moving, but it also can't capture to where it moves. But my typo caused me to do exactly the opposite of my strategy.

You still might be right, but it was fun testing my strategy (until my blunder).
