Lol you can't make that move - she just took your bishop on c5 after you declined Qxg7

So your bishop doesn't exist anymore

evert823

That's r8, b6 then?

Black's play here was far too careless, but the chess variant itself (Psychologic) looks like a very cool and original game. I'd be interested in giving it a try, to hopefully get a better idea of how to correctly play it. Having experimented with many such variants in the past, I've learned that the best ones tend to feature unique gameplay mechanics, and am curious what Psychologic has to offer in that regard.

There is one other rule I would like to clarify. You said that if there are no other legal moves the player loses but is that only if he is in check?

So is there stalemate in this game, or a situation where a player has only one legal move (not in check) that doesn't put him in check.

AnnChess2

I said if there are no other legal moves after the player's move has been rejected he loses.

The rule doesn't mention being in check or not.

So you don't have to be in check to lose, it can be both cases.

So, is anyone interested in starting a new game? I suppose this isn't necessarily the best place to ask, but was unable to find a better one.

If nobody responds, I guess I could start an "open invitation" thread for this variant, where the first person to make a move would become the 2nd player in that particular game.

Can I play Ba6?

I'm trying to find out how to post the position. I think keeping the pgn format on my computer and post it her would be the best. But I don't know how to post it in such a way that it looks like a game.
