SecretChess

Hi Everyone,

We've launched a new game named SecretChess and we're looking to get your feedback!

It takes a little bit of time to adjust as it is in some ways more complicated than chess. There are new tricks and things to be aware. But the basic game is simply chess rules, where the opponent's last move is hidden.

Played a game, very original, whimsical, and intuitive, good going.

Can be done OTB: tell the piece you moved and write down the move.

evertVB, it is possible to have a midiator and write your move on a piece of paper. For some reason we didn't think about it and the first game was played after creating a simple JavaScript page where each player made a move, it was concealed, and we were passing an iPad from one player to the other :)
 

Actually it's impossible OTB, unless a third person is available to check if each move is valid based on knowledge of last opponent's move. This is what your website software does for the players.

IVe been playing secretchess for the last couple pf months and its great,the game gives a psychologic element to chess that wasnt there.
