Tournament Summary - Chess on an Infinite Plane

Haven't been here in a long time. Time to dust off the infinite chess skills and give it a shot. I'm in 

Ok, awesome, I think we have six people. (some players replied on another post). If we get two more then it will be a normal 8-player tournament. If it's six then two will get byes. I'll post a bracket soon.

Ok, great! We just need one more player to make it an 8-person tournament (4 games in round-1). Here's the seven so far:

Please note that it's possible that one player in this tournament might become the World Champion, prior to this tournament being completed. Tug and gyrados are currently playing (here), and the winner will challenge Naviary (current World Champion). Naviary is on a temporary hiatus, so if he is not able to defend his title, either Tug or gyrados becomes the new WC.

To confirm: even if the WC loses a game in this tournament, he does not lose the WC title. This tournament is only to decide who becomes qualified to next challenge the WC.

The first game will start around March 18 (next Wed). I can mod all games, but I'll stagger them so one game starts about each week. Games will be staggered so players not currently playing anything will start first.

I'll start games 2 and 4 tomorrow (March 21). It looks like those players are currently not in any games.

Games 1 and 3 will start about 2 weeks later (April 4).

I don't remember playing you, but I think I moded three of your games. So I think this will be your fourth game.

Man, even if I somehow pull out a victory against Vick, I’ll likely be up against Tug in round 2. This is just excellent.

Hey Vick, is everything good? Are we not beginning today?

He was online a day ago. I think you might have to wait for a while.

My prediction is that the Final will be gyrados vs. captaintugwash. And one of them will probably be the World Champion even before this tournament is finished. (current WC is Naviary, but he's on a hiatus while he is travelling in Canada, so he could lose the Title if he can't defend himself).

So this tournament finds the next challenger for the WC crown.

However, my prediction can be wrong. There could be an upset. (Or upsets).😀😅
