chess960, waste of time?

I doubt that chess 960 improves your regular chess all that much ....but it is loads of fun.  Definitely makes me think.

I think it forces you to learn to evaluate a position from move 1.  In that regard it is good.  I wonder how many here that don't support 960 support bughouse!  ;-)

Regular chess is great, but this way you don't come against a theory champ. They must play you based on their understanding, and you as well.
