Since I joined I am getting invites to join clubs from players who I have never played iirc. Is this normal, what’s the benefit of joining, can I be in more than one club, should I be negotiating a signing on fee 😁?

Hi colm, If you like i dont mind being your signing manager for a small percentage happy.png. Jokes aside though:

Chess.com Clubs and Teams allow members to form separate clubs around interests, hobbies, nationalities, friendships, etc. All clubs get their own forums, news, events, and photos.

Its normal to receive invites but if you do not want to receive them you may turn off club invites here: https://www.chess.com/settings/privacy

You can find more information here:

https://support.chess.com/category/184-clubs-and-leagues

You can join multiple clubs but i dont think much negotiating will help financially happy.png

Thanks,  I tend to the Groucho Marx approach to clubs ("I don’t care to belong to a club that accepts people like me as members") but I'll have to take another look,
