In this club, there are caring people who are willing to have light conversation, play chess, or both.  Also, if you are in need of support (or helping someone else), we can offer assistance or connect you with a relevant resource.

There's no pressure to join, you can message an admin or coordinator, or checkout the list of sites from the club introduction Emotional Support Resource .

With best regards,

I love your impeccable sense of helping others. And you may be unnoticed by some, but you definitely have a place in my head. Also my club is becoming more successful and I find that my reputation is growing. Im doing good so far, and I had pot pie for dinner. Im feeling great, and I hope it’s the same for you.

I just applied to join, I think it is a great idea for a club. I understand why people do it but often there is another solution. There are always 'safety nets' like family and friends, phone counsellors and other organisations that deal with suicide.

Clubs like this all help towards changing the stigma that is associated with mental illness and suicide.

Love your work happy.png

UPDATE:

There is no longer a "Suicide Awareness" Club, but there is a club that offers contacts for wellness, emotional support, and mental health services:
