I think it was by a Greek-Canadian...
If I catch anyone in my Chess club eating such an abomination in the club (even in the kitchen area), they will be told to leave and come back 2 months later with a written apology and a promise not to ever do that again. Our club rules are tough (no Rook pawn moves in the opening, no "unapproved" gambits, etc.) but needed to ensure the respect that Chess deserves.
