The tournament now runs automatically, EVERY DAY at 7:45 est

4teamchess is played on www.chess.comm, HOWEVER, It is run on a separate server and the results are displayed at www.4teamchess.com.  The random events select anywhere from 2500 to 4000 rapid 30-min players who have played at least 8 rapid 30-min matches, in two events: Winner takes all and One winner for every 40 entries.  The third event is a members only One winner for every 10 players. 

I will no longer run the tournament myself as I have programmed it to run by computer timing. The results display at 7:47, est. 

If you do not know the format, it is based on an average rating comparison. You play your matches here on chess.com as determined by chess.com. We take the results of those matches and average them over 7 matches. We compare the most recent 7 to the previous 7 average and the difference between the two is a 'score'. The 'score' is applied to your 4-person team. That team is made up of a sort of qualified entries, best to novice. Each team has 1 novice, 2 intermediate, and an advanced player.
