Yes that can happen. That's why I said "AI will blunder a queen bout 20% of the time". You need to try a couple of times.
If it captures on c6 sometimes then that means it's deliberately programmed to blunder.

I doubt it is deliberate because it is a 3200 rated bot (also works for other bots) and this only works with premoves.
I am guessing that pre-moving confuses the bot into thinking you either played a different move or skipped a turn somehow, and it misses what you played.
