5th grade post degeneration of threads

Earlier this week it was sad to see 3 different threads degenerate into 5th grade antics. One thread turned into an extensive discussion of farts, a second thread turned into a discussion of vomiting, and a third thread featured two members calling each other a vulgar term meaning anus.  I'm not the most mature person around but I've been out of 5th grade for a long time. I thought that kiddiechess.com was a totally different site. Too bad.

I remember 3 or 4 guys flooding a thread where a very novice chess player was looking for advice. When I asked them "why?" I got nasty reponses with childish irony. Forums, such a mysterious thing...

I agree with you there Eddie, having a joke about other things is one thing, crudeness is another, I dont think I did that in 5th grade and I was far from sensible

Seriously though how do someone end up discussing about farts?
Probably they discussed about the gases that contain those, percentages of methane, etc.
