Adopted threads.

I actually passed one disavowed thread to you... yeah, that was me.
EDIT: Looks like you have since passed it on yourself. Where does it end?

To all intents and purposes it appears to my thread, it is not.
So it's not a huge inconvenience in this case as my post seems in context with the title, however, I've inherited a few that made my post nonsensical.
I'll see what i can do :)

Thank you.

As I'm sure some of you are aware, there seems to have been some change in the protocols regarding "thread ownership" recently.
Let me cite an example:
http://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/would-you-like-to-date-a-famous-female-chess-player-if-so-whom
To all intents and purposes it appears to my thread, it is not. I believe that upon the the thread creator removing his initial post, ownership has passed to the second post (i.e. first reply).
So it's not a huge inconvenience in this case as my post seems in context with the title, however, I've inherited a few that made my post nonsensical. In these cases I have simply deleted my post (and then deleted the (comment deleted) part) and ownership has passed to third-in-line. "A fix not a solution" as AfafBouardi remarked to me.
The whole thing puts me in mind of a woolen jumper dissassembled by pulling continuously on a single loose end.
There are plenty of other user's threads I am happy to post in that I would not necessarily want to be considered the creator of.
I hope that all makes sense and I'm happy to clarify if any reader "doesn't get it".
What do you all think?
You can make a habit of quoting the first post especially if you are second.

tee hee. I inherited it and then I gave it to you, Prawn.
I am the victim of my own methods, not fair!
@ TadDude: Fair point but not ideal. I think large (nested) quotes are something to be avoided, in general.

I just gave you one too Prawn - enjoy!

Now I get what you're saying. I don't know why I can't stop laughing at this analogy.
I am the victim of my own methods, not fair!
Even I felt a little guilty when I saw the poetic justice of your post being lined up next.
PROPOSED SOLUTION: Allow post number one to be deletable content, but not removable.

any bloody government, afaf, they can call any amount of elections, but you still get the same clowns in charge - they just wears different coloured ties

The seocnd poster takes over the crown if the first poster is, at any time, not able to perform his official duties. It's a known rule.
There he is... Mr. First-Poster.
