I just played a live game, which my opponent aborted. When pushing the home button (I still cannot play two live game on a row, see above...), I got out of the board and got a message saying you got kicked and then a new message yougot banned (?!?) Neverseen that before. When trying to log in again I get server down message again.

When the live chess server is restarted, all members are logged off live chess. Unfortunately while they see a message saying 'server shutdown', the app users see a message saying  'you have been kicked or banned by a moderator'.

I am sorry about this, you didn't do anything wrong. The message on there should be changed as it is both frustrating and misleading for android users to see when they haven't done anything wrong.

Ok, another tiny one; when placing a move but not yet pushing submit or cancel, but pushing the upper talk button to see if my opponent made a remark or not (as told above the orange bulb doesn't appear anymore since last updte) and going back to board, the submit/cancel buttons disappeared and cant make any move anymore on that board. Have togo back to list and select game again to move.

theres something wrong with draws, cant offer draw only accept, but then i cant see board 1st. when i click board i cant accept anymore. or i have to accept or decline without seeing the board...

Hi, I've seen you made an update last friday (it started with a couple of crashes (yes I send the report, but worked afterwards without chrashes) and again this monday. Well I've played the whole weekend and even though some aspects looks better then before, I do find some glitches and irritations (after playing a weekend) that are no improvent. First, when I start the app it seems to start twice (!) It starts and immediately I see the sceenflicker as if the app is starting again. I also hear the your move sound twice and there are two pawns in the alert/message box. When I play my moves one pawn disappears , but one stayes even if I have played all the boards, withthe same number of unplayed games... When I click on the message I go to list, but without any games where I have to make a move. In the task-killer it says thereś only one app running. But if I wait for the next alerts sometimes it shows two and sometimes one pawn (cant find the reason when one and when two). Second, when I played all my moves on all the boards I sometimes get back to the list (as I want it) and sometimes the app just disappeares to the main screen of my tablet... 3d When I get an alert there's a sound now which is new, but I dont like it and want to turn it of; it irritates after playing a weekend and gets on my nerves, because the sound alerts is there everytime it updates or when an opponent moves (dont know which of the two). It means every minute or so it makes a move sound an I have to kill the app if I just dont want to play now but in ten minutes later (and it starts twice again...). You can't turn the sound alert off I've noticed because you have to turn off the ingame move sound as well and that is not what I want. As far as I have seen you've put some Dutch words in it as well (I'm Dutch in Holland), and it's real funny how dutch and english has been mixed (...) "Het is jouw moves" doesn't make sense in dutch, it's: "Het is jouw zet". Well this one is not important, the others are, and even though it looks better it doesnt work better (while typing this piece, I have had about 12 (!) sound-alerts for 15 games... why?)

oh, nearly forgot: when paying on the board the one turn back and forward buttons don't work anymore, but I used them a lot. Now I'm obliged to use the analyse mode which isnt always necessary. (btw I see now that in all my games excactly above the Analyse mode it says 02d Really dont know what that is... ).

The alert sound is there also when you're in the app and playing... why? I'm already playing my games, why alert me?

Are you using version 2.0.7

can you please let me know which Android it is and which version app you're using?

Using latest version on Galaxy Nexus

Concerning Online Chess mode:

The update that came today fixed a couple of problems from the last build (which was pretty much a mess, no offense) but there are still many that remain.  The notification icon will not go away, even if I don't have any moves to make, and it will continually "refresh" itself with a new "Your turn!" message every few minutes, even though it is not my turn.  When it actually is my turn, there will be 2 identical icons and notifications in the pull down menu.  When I go to a game through tapping the notification (when it's not a fake) and make my move, pressing the back button will return me to the home screen.  It is impossible to return to the games list, or any previous screen without killing the app and relaunching. 

And finally, not a bug but a gripe - why can't I see previous moves without first switching to "analysis mode"?  It's cumbersome and unnecessary; the old solution where you'd be locked out of making a move unless you were viewing the game at its most recent point, was far better in my opinion.

 

Most importantly, thank you so much for all your hard work on this app!

I'm investigating the continuous 'your turn'.  The ← →  arrow issue is being fixed.

Droid X. Use the app a lot, I enjoy it very much. Mainly I use it for online games. I am also getting the "Your Turn! (0 Games)" notification. I just noticed because I am playing about ten games and it's always my turn. That said I like the notification feature. Your turn in no games, that is excessive however. Good luck fixing this.

I see you released 2.0.71 with more stability, but I cannot find improvements, when i play last game it still sometimes goes to list and sometimes it flapsout to the main android screen.

If you start app and tap Play Online you get list of ongoing games,I mean that list.

Sometimes it returns the list after playing the last game in wich it was my turn, sometimes is returns to the main android home screen, as if the app crashes (It doesnt btw, I get two pawns in the its your move alert after a while)

Btw: the app really runs twice. Everytime I start the app, you hear the alert twice and if I tap return of android, I get to see the (chess-) home screen again, ie. Have to tap back twice to get out

Simple: start app, you hear alert twice, and I see the choicemenu turning up fast after one another. Tap the andoid-back button and you see the 1st startup(you should actually be going back to mainandroidscreen).
