another vote chess question for the admins

Why is it that that for some vote chess games, I can see the current votes *before* I have voted, and in other games I cannot see the current votes until *after* I have voted (in the latter case the "votes" tab doesn't appear until I vote).  

I have tried to determine if it is how specific games are configured, or if it is always the first game I look at that does not allow me to see the current voting.

Yes, the admins have the choice to set this option on or off for specific vote chess games. Sometimes we prefer to make the vote chess games where you cannot see voting results until you make your vote and other times we can make it so that you can see the voting results at all times.

we kind of decide which way we want. what do people prefer? there are advantages to each way... :>)

i like both ways it keeps everything fresh you know.

For serious games (say, the next GM Davies game - hint), I prefer to see the voting. Generally speaking, mixing it up is fun.

I definitely prefer being able to see the results before making my move.  As PerfectGent said, someone who has already voted always ends up posting them to the forum.
