Name some of the culprits, we'll know who they are.

Why not change your flag

Unless chess.com adds hate speech detection to the chat, the best thing to do is turn off chat. That's probably the best solution for now.

Shame you are blocked artigas, your moaning and whining is state of the art.🤣

It sure is. This junk poster got triggered so I can’t post on any thread they make because the truth is too much.

No, but your friends and relatives rule your head.  Try thinking for yourself.

Sorry to hear any hate for Jews coming from my country. I like and respect many things about your country. Keep in mind, many Americans have decided that democracy needs To go. The majority of some 71 million in our last election. Lucky for free people around the world that they lost.Peace

Sad that this comes up even here. Block the fools and take some consolation that they are living life as themselves, a truly miserable condition.

Should flags be forbidden?

People playing chess are more educated (usually). Showing a flag does not mean that you agree with everything your government does or did, doesn't it?

Well no, but maybe if OP changed their flag, people wouldn't assume they're Jewish

Why should anybody have to change their flag because other people are racist? Would you ever considering changing your U.S. flag because chess.com users as a whole suddenly started badmouthing Americans en masse?

We're not governed by England. Unlike you....

We are the country that the Scottish came to. No Canadian ever went to Scotland, unless they weren't smart enough to get into a Canadian college. Then they'd go to Scotland to get their degree.

We gained independence long before you did, Canada. And Scotland, you're still not independent

We acknowledge that we couldn't have done it without you. It was an incredible historical precedent, and I don't think that kids are taught that in U.S. schools. They should be.

There are a disproportionate number of players on the platform who openly hate Jews. Every day I have to put up with people using the chat feature to tell me how much they hate my people. Something needs to change. Why isn’t there an automatic hate speech detection function to permanently ban people who threaten violence against groups of people. Not just Jews. No one should have to suffer this rope of abuse. But for most toes of hate speech people are embarrassed to actually speak up. Antisemitism seems to be the exception where people from mainly the USA and Europe appear to be proud to hate Jews like it’s chic and fashionable to be a bigot in this realm. The irony is that I get more tolerance from Arab countries than I do from western countries. I can have civilized chats with people from Iran and Lebanon, countries that are actually political enemies of Israel, and the people on the other side are kind and polite. Yet from the western countries that claim to be the “first world” I get a constant barrage of vitriol, insults, and threats that my people will soon be wiped off the planet. There are lots of people who need to do some soul searching. But also chess.com needs to step up and have automated protections in place to prevent this sort of abuse.

You must be joking, in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, antisemitism has become more villified than ever, I've never seen so much media coverage having a go at people for being antisemitic before.

Have you considered taking you and your "people" somewhere else, like that communist chess site? Seriously everywhere you go you leech off the works of other cultures and profit off of sowing discord. Maybe you're just not welcome here, dude.

A new account created just for hate.  Could be just trolling of course. Who would know?

It's just one guy, it's not the majority of the population who thinks this.

Maybe change the flag next to your username to an international one (the only thing telling others you're Jewish besides this post is the flag)

It's not fair to expect someone to change their flag because they are receiving racist abuse, it's not the victims responsibility.

It's exceptional and historical. It's specifically called antisemitism not racism nor religious hate.  As for soul searching, probably all parties have to do this.  We are all unfortunately held accountable in the public eye for our associates' sins.

Hate is bad, even hate for evil imho.

Automated hate speech detection can easily end up in wider censorship.  Maybe they should not have anonymous accounts anymore so that people are accountable. But then of course the membership numbers would drop. It's a business after at all.

Antisemitism is a silly made up term made popular by the media, attacking someone for being a Jew is racist, not antisemitic.

I'm really sorry to hear that this is happening.  It amazes me that people who have been handed everything on a platter can be so hostile to people from a country that has had to fight tooth and nail, day after day, for 75 years just for the right to exist.

The USA had to fight tooth and nail too.
